Help us get Raisin the specialist surgery she needs to live a long and healthy life!
Raisin needs surgery to correct Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome (BOAS), a condition that makes it difficult for her to breathe due to the shape of her face and airways. To give her the quality of life she deserves, Raisin needs urgent surgery to widen her nostrils, shorten and thin her soft palate, and remove her tonsils and laryngeal saccules. These procedures will drastically reduce her risk of respiratory distress and allow her to breathe, play, and move comfortably—something most dogs can do without a second thought.
Raisin was surrendered to a regional pound by her previous family. We may never know why, but we are incredibly thankful that she’s now safe and in care. Since joining us, she has shown nothing but love and joy. She is playful, affectionate, and slowly making friends with the other dogs in her foster home. With your help, we can give Raisin the medical treatment she needs and the second chance she so richly deserves.
