Dean and ken
DOB: 27/07/2022
Sex: Male
Breed: Scottish Fold Mix
Coat: Short
Microchip: 956000015007153 & 956000015930806
Location: Narre Warren South, VIC
Dean and Ken are looking for a foster home.
Dean and Ken are sweet but very special boys who are a part of our perma-squishy program. This means that Squishies will be responsible for managing their care and the cost of their veterinary care for the entirety of their lives.
Both boys were born with myelin deficiency which means that they lack coordination, shake and sometimes experience seizure activity. This usually looks like staring straight ahead, walking in circles and is something we manage with daily medication. Their condition won’t get worse but won’t get better either. Neither know that there is anything different they just know that sometimes they fall over instead of moving forward.
Dean loves to trill and chat to the humans. He can be quick when he wants to be and will sometimes run at full speed to get away from you if he knows it’s time for bed. He is so affectionate and loves being cuddled. He will flop onto your chest, purr his little heart out while making biscuits on your arm. When it’s dinner time he will smooch your legs while you get the food ready.
Kenny is much quieter than his brother and being a Scottish Fold he does have some joint issues that likely impact him. To help him with this we give him some supplements in a tubey treat each day that he licks up at olympic speeds. He also loves a scritch on the head and has recently found the joys of toasting his bones on the heated blanket, he can lay there for hours.
They’re happy to entertain themselves throughout the day if their foster family were at work but would be equally good working from home buddies. They snooze on their bed (always cuddled up) and then have a good wrestle and chomp on each other before having another nap for good measure. Both enjoy a regular brush but Dean will help you by licking your arm while you do it (so helpful).
Both boys are great at using their puppy pads to go to the toilet. They can use disposable or washable ones so will be happy to do what suits their new foster home. They consistently use the same space but can have the occasional accident (nearby) so an understanding home that has a space with tiles or floorboards rather than carpet would be best.
They would be more than happy to share their foster home with other cat/s. They are not bothered by feline friends and are even tolerant of a bop on the head if they get too close to a grumpy cat. They haven’t lived with a dog for a long time but a calm, cat-friendly dog who will give them space may be fine.
Squishies is looking for a foster home in Melbourne who is willing to commit to them for at least three months but the longer, the better. Ideally we want to find them a permanent foster home so that they have their own family to love them for the rest of their life. While the boys are not difficult to care for (or to love) Squishies will be there to support their new carers however they need.
If you are considering fostering these boys we would love to talk to you and set up a chance for you to come and meet them in Narre Warren South.
🍭 Chupa chup 🍭
DOB: 02/04/2018
Sex: Female
Breed: British Shorthair
Coat: Short
Microchip: 956000016637741
Location: Brighton, VIC
Adoption Fee: $800
Chupa Chup is a loving, confident and playful lady who is ready to explore every inch of your home. She is happiest when she is lounging up high or in the sun and would love a home where she can have things to look at from the safety of inside the house.
Like many British Shorthair’s she likes affection on her own terms but when it’s time for cuddles you better watch out! She is an avid shoulder-sitter and will happily hang out up there while you work. When it’s TV time she will cuddle up on the couch with you or pop herself on your lap to keep you warm.
Chupa Chup wants to be the only cat in your heart but she is willing to share her space with a cat-friendly dog as long as they are happy to keep out of her personal space. While she does love human company, she is still suitable for a family who works away from home during the day, she is perfectly happy to entertain herself while she waits for you to return. Chupa Chup would prefer a home with teenage or older children (if any at all) who are able to understand when she has finished playing for the day.
She has had a small dot in her eye lasered to prevent it from turning into anything nasty. She has now had her two post-op checks and everything is as it should be. Animal Eye Care would like to see her again in April 2026 to monitor her for any further changes. While research suggests her eye should remain healthy for many years, Squishies will cover the cost of eye removal if it becomes problematic within 12 months of her adoption.
Chupa Chup comes desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, and up to date on parasite prevention, all ready to start her new life.
LOIS
DOB: 25/07/2021
Sex: Female
Breed: Persian
Coat: Long
Microchip: 956000018336234
Location: Ferntree Gully, VIC
Adoption Fee: $800
Four-year-old Lois is ready to find a quiet, calm, and loving home to call her own. She’s a sweet, little girl who thrives in peaceful surroundings where she can take life at her own pace.
Lois loves a bit of fresh air, so she’d adore an enclosed catio or a sunny window spot where she can safely watch the world go by. She enjoys gentle games of chasey with moving toys, especially when she’s in a playful mood. While she’s not the type to demand friendship from other cats, she has been happy to coexist with her foster siblings, sharing laps, playing, and lounging together without fuss. She would also be more than happy in a home of her own too. Lois prefers to nibble on her food throughout the day so will need a home where that's possible. Once she’s comfortable, she loves curling up in bed with her humans and will roll over to invite soft belly pats.
Her coat is still regaining its shine after a rough start, but with good nutrition and daily brushing she’ll soon look as beautiful as she feels. She would also benefit from an occasional summer clip in the warmer months ahead. Lois isn’t a fan of having her face cleaned, but it’s important that her new family persist with it anyway. She’ll tolerate it best when she’s sleepy after a nap.
This petite girl is very aware of her smallness and would feel happiest in a gentle, slow-paced home without loud noises or chaos. She’s also a self-declared hardcore box cat. If there's a box around, she’ll claim it for a nap.
Lois is desexed, microchipped, up to date with vaccinations and parasite treatments, and recently had a dental scale and polish, so her teeth are in top condition.
If you’re looking for a sweet, low-key companion who will bring quiet joy and affection into your home, Lois might just be your perfect match.
LINUS
DOB: 25/07/2021
Sex: Male
Breed: Persian
Coat: Long
Microchip: 956000017360977
Location: Ascot Vale, VIC
Adoption Fee: $800
At just four years old, Linus may be a little lad, but he’s packed full of love, charm, and personality. Once he fills out his small frame, he’ll still be a petite package with a lot to give.
When Linus first arrives somewhere new, he likes to take his time surveying his surroundings. This means he would prefer to have a safe place to himself while he settles in! Once he’s satisfied that all is in order, he’ll be out and about, ready to explore and make himself at home.
Linus loves his humans. Once he decides you’re his person, you’ll be the centre of his universe. Personal space will be a thing of the past and he’ll want to be on or beside you at all times, purring contentedly (and often!). He has an adorable habit of gently tapping you with his paw when he wants attention, he doesn’t want to be a bother, he just loves being close.
A creature of habit, Linus thrives on routine and would do best in a calm home where he can feel secure and settled. Don’t be fooled by his smoochy side though, this boy has plenty of energy! He loves to zoom across concrete floors, skid around corners, chase rolled-up paper, and dive headfirst into his tunnel.
Linus enjoys the company of other cats but prefers not to share laps, so he’d be happiest either as an only cat or in a home with enough humans to go around. He may also get along with a calm, cat-friendly dog with proper introductions.
This handsome boy has the most beautiful golden eyes and a coat that, with care, will be just as stunning. Linus arrived in care with his entire coat pelted and has been clipped to help him start fresh. His new family will need to be committed to regular brushing to prevent matting and willing to have him professionally groomed if needed to keep him comfortable and looking his best.
Gentle, playful, and endlessly affectionate, Linus is the perfect mix of energy and love. He might not always respond to his name (though “Little Laddy” sometimes earns a glance!), but he’ll always respond to kindness. Linus has been desexed, microchipped, and is up to date with his vaccinations and parasite treatments.
If you’re looking for a loyal little companion who will fill your home with warmth, purrs, and personality, Linus might just be your perfect match.
PRINCESS PIXIE - ON TRIAL
DOB: 12/07/2024
Sex: Female
Breed: French Bulldog
Coat: Short
Microchip: 956000016637741
Location: Carnegie, VIC
Adoption Fee: $2000
Princess Pixie is a young, affectionate, and spirited pup with a personality as big as her name suggests. She adores human company and thrives in a home where someone is around most of the time, whether working from home or willing to take her to the office with them. Loyal and loving, she’ll happily follow her people from room to room, snuggle in close at night, and shower her family with affection.
Pixie’s early months were eventful. At around four months old, she broke her elbow, which unfortunately led to an amputation when the original fix was unsuccessful. Despite this, she is as playful and active as any dog, though her new family will need to help her protect her remaining front leg and ensure she doesn’t overdo it. Fetch is her favourite game, but she needs the humans to tell her when it’s enough or she will go forever!
Her time recovering from surgery meant missing out on some important early socialisation, which has left her a little anxious, particularly around other dogs. She has been working with a trainer to build her confidence and would benefit from ongoing positive reinforcement training in her new home. Pixie is best suited to a home without dogs. She is not a dog park dog, but with consistent training and careful introductions, she may be able to have a calm, well-matched doggy friend in the future.
Pixie would prefer to be the only pet. However, homes with one calm, dog-friendly cat may be considered if the cat can be kept separate for a prolonged period while she adjusts.
Medically, Pixie has already overcome significant challenges. She was originally surrendered to Squishies by her breeder due to a congenital heart condition (pulmonary stenosis), which has since been surgically corrected. Her heart specialist is pleased with her progress, with only a follow-up check recommended at two years of age. She is otherwise healthy and has been desexed, vaccinated, and kept up to date with flea and worming treatments.
Her ideal home will have adults or teenagers (no young children), minimal stairs, and a secure backyard where she can safely run and play. We are happy to consider homes who would like to ‘foster-to-adopt’ Pixie and Squishies will provide access to her trainer to help ensure a smooth transition into her new life.
Pixie is currently in foster care in Carnegie, VIC, and is looking for her forever home in Melbourne or nearby suburbs.
🧡 FLOW 🧡
DOB: 06/03/2016

Breed: Exotic Shorthair
Coat: Short
Microchip: 991003000149378
Location: Collaroy, NSW

👑 Introducing Flow 👑
Say hello to Flow, a delicate and loving lady who radiates soft, feminine energy and wants nothing more than to be the centre of your universe. Once settled in, this stage-five clinger is the ultimate lap cat, always close by for pats, affection, and affirmation that she is, in fact, your favourite being in the world.
Flow would flourish in a quiet, mature home with someone who works from home or is retired, where she can be your ever-present shadow – until she’s ready to claim a sunny window for a solo nap. She loves affection but on her own terms and in her own time. Flow is incredibly sweet and trusting once she feels safe, though she may need patience and time to adjust to a new environment.
She’s not a fan of loud or unpredictable settings, so a dog-free, calm home is ideal. While she’s been fine with visiting children, her sensitive nature makes her a better match for older families or individuals who can respect her boundaries and routine. She has previously co-existed with another cat but isn’t interested in being their bestie. She may be happy to exist with a similar natured cat in her new home but would be perfectly happy to be the only cat.
Like so many squishies, Flow needs help keeping herself pristine – twice-daily gentle eye wipe and weekly mail and ear care. Her litter box habits and scratching post use are perfect, so your furniture is safe!
She is of course, desexed, microchipped and up to date with her vaccinations and parasite treatments. She is currently located in Collaroy, NSW and looking for a home within reasonable driving distance.
Flow is being rehomed through an assisted adoption as her loving owner is relocating overseas. While Flow will remain in her current home for now, her adoption will be supported by Squishies Animal Rescue, and her fee will go directly towards helping other pets in need.
💛 Flow will remain under the Squishies safety net for life.
