🍭 Chupa chup 🍭
DOB: 02/04/2018
Sex: Female
Breed: British Shorthair
Coat: Short
Microchip: 956000016637741
Location: Brighton, VIC
Adoption Fee: $800
Chupa Chup is a classic British Shorthair: plush, poised, and packed with personality. At seven years old, she’s got enough wisdom to know what she likes and the confidence to claim it. She was surrendered to the pound due to her owners “allergies” but because of a dot in her eye they reached out to us so we could get her the care she needed.
A suspicious dot in her eye turned out to require laser surgery, and thanks to Animal Eye Care, her vision has been preserved for now. Her post-op recovery is going beautifully, and she has a follow-up appointment booked in late August. The appointment, conveniently located in Malvern, is fully covered by us. Her adopter will need to keep an eye (pun intended!) on her long-term eye health and be prepared for possible eye removal in the future if it becomes necessary.
But don’t let that slow you down. Chupa Chup certainly doesn’t! This curious adventurer loves to explore, scale shelves, perch on benches, and claim your bed like the queen she is. She’s especially fond of shoulder-sitting while you work, and may even have a quick nap there if you let her.
Chupa Chup is also a bit of a shadow. She loves to be wherever you are, and will happily follow you from room to room, just to stay close and see what you’re up to. Whether you're working, relaxing, or heading to the kitchen for a snack, she’ll be right behind you, ready to supervise.
She’s seeking an indoor-only home or one with a secure outdoor cat enclosure where she can safely sunbathe and birdwatch to her heart’s content. Sunny windows are a must, as she loves a good perch with a view.
Chupa Chup isn’t keen on other cats and would prefer a home where she’s the only feline ruler. She might tolerate a very respectful, quiet dog who knows their place and gives her space. She’s also confident enough to live with older children (10+) who understand that when a British Shorthair says “no thanks,” they mean it.
She comes desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, and up to date on parasite prevention, all ready to start her new life.

Meet Raisin 🍇
Don’t let the name fool you, Raisin is anything but dried up. This little pocket rocket is full of life, love, and just the right amount of bounce. At 6 years old, she’s found that sweet spot between playful energy and snuggly friendship.
She’s small in size (about 12kg) but big on affection. She’ll happily follow you from room to room but she’s not needy, just quietly devoted. While she thrives on being close, Raisin is also content being left alone during the day while you’re at work. She’ll nap, dream, and greet you with her signature wiggle when you return.
She walks beautifully on lead, is toilet trained (though may need a little guidance settling into a new routine), and is an absolute breeze to live with.
Raisin gets along wonderfully with calm male dogs and would love to have a friendly desexed male pupper friend in her new home. She’s not spent a lot of time with cats while in care but has lived with them previously so would likely be fine with a dog-savvy cat after a slow introduction. Raisin thinks kids are pretty fun and we know she will suit a wide variety of homes from singles wanting a loyal companion, to families who’ll let her be part of daily life.
Raisin is full of heart, a dash of mischief, and endless loyalty. She’s looking for a forever home where she’ll be loved, included, and maybe, just maybe, allowed to sleep under the covers.
While in our care Raisin has had a health overhaul. She is now recovered from surgery to correct BOAS (Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome), which is experienced but nearly every flat-faced dog. Now she breathe easily (and better yet, quietly) and is loving her new zest for life. Raisin has also been desexed and had a dental to ensure her teeth are sparkling clean. She is also up to date with parasite treatments and vaccinations.
Raisin is in foster care in Highett and is looking for a home within reasonable driving distance.
PRINCESS PIXIE
DOB: 12/07/2024
Sex: Female
Breed: French Bulldog
Coat: Short
Microchip: 956000016637741
Location: Carnegie, VIC
Adoption Fee: $2000
Princess Pixie is a young, affectionate, and spirited pup with a personality as big as her name suggests. She adores human company and thrives in a home where someone is around most of the time, whether working from home or willing to take her to the office with them. Loyal and loving, she’ll happily follow her people from room to room, snuggle in close at night, and shower her family with affection.
Pixie’s early months were eventful. At around four months old, she broke her elbow, which unfortunately led to an amputation when the original fix was unsuccessful. Despite this, she is as playful and active as any dog, though her new family will need to help her protect her remaining front leg and ensure she doesn’t overdo it. Fetch is her favourite game, but she needs the humans to tell her when it’s enough or she will go forever!
Her time recovering from surgery meant missing out on some important early socialisation, which has left her a little anxious, particularly around other dogs. She has been working with a trainer to build her confidence and would benefit from ongoing positive reinforcement training in her new home. Pixie is best suited to a home without dogs. She is not a dog park dog, but with consistent training and careful introductions, she may be able to have a calm, well-matched doggy friend in the future.
Pixie would prefer to be the only pet. However, homes with one calm, dog-friendly cat may be considered if the cat can be kept separate for a prolonged period while she adjusts.
Medically, Pixie has already overcome significant challenges. She was originally surrendered to Squishies by her breeder due to a congenital heart condition (pulmonary stenosis), which has since been surgically corrected. Her heart specialist is pleased with her progress, with only a follow-up check recommended at two years of age. She is otherwise healthy and has been desexed, vaccinated, and kept up to date with flea and worming treatments.
Her ideal home will have adults or teenagers (no young children), minimal stairs, and a secure backyard where she can safely run and play. We are happy to consider homes who would like to ‘foster-to-adopt’ Pixie and Squishies will provide access to her trainer to help ensure a smooth transition into her new life.
Pixie is currently in foster care in Carnegie, VIC, and is looking for her forever home in Melbourne or nearby suburbs.

👑 Introducing Flow 👑
Say hello to Flow, a delicate and loving lady who radiates soft, feminine energy and wants nothing more than to be the centre of your universe. Once settled in, this stage-five clinger is the ultimate lap cat, always close by for pats, affection, and affirmation that she is, in fact, your favourite being in the world.
Flow would flourish in a quiet, mature home with someone who works from home or is retired, where she can be your ever-present shadow – until she’s ready to claim a sunny window for a solo nap. She loves affection but on her own terms and in her own time. Flow is incredibly sweet and trusting once she feels safe, though she may need patience and time to adjust to a new environment.
She’s not a fan of loud or unpredictable settings, so a dog-free, calm home is ideal. While she’s been fine with visiting children, her sensitive nature makes her a better match for older families or individuals who can respect her boundaries and routine. She has previously co-existed with another cat but isn’t interested in being their bestie. She may be happy to exist with a similar natured cat in her new home but would be perfectly happy to be the only cat.
Like so many squishies, Flow needs help keeping herself pristine – twice-daily gentle eye wipe and weekly mail and ear care. Her litter box habits and scratching post use are perfect, so your furniture is safe!
She is of course, desexed, microchipped and up to date with her vaccinations and parasite treatments. She is currently located in Collaroy, NSW and looking for a home within reasonable driving distance.
Flow is being rehomed through an assisted adoption as her loving owner is relocating overseas. While Flow will remain in her current home for now, her adoption will be supported by Squishies Animal Rescue, and her fee will go directly towards helping other pets in need.
💛 Flow will remain under the Squishies safety net for life.
